Mindshare Media Ireland are looking for Social Buying Executive to become part of our rapidly expanding Invention Team. The Invention unit is the hub of the agency’s creative thinking, focusing on non-traditional activations through branded content, influencer activations, sponsorship, experiential and social media. Basically, we like to do things a little differently!

The Social Buyer will be focused on buying social media advertisement across a range of platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn & YouTube. Working in a best in class media agency, you’ll learn to apply media and marketing theory to every digital campaign you run.

Key responsibilities

Paid & Reporting

  • Purchase social adverts on behalf of our clients
  • Purchase across a range of platforms across Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat
  • Plan and strategize the paid promotion across client’s campaign
  • Summarise insights and conversations to create actionable, client-facing reports that lead to optimization
  • Stay on top of new paid and publishing formats across the channels – and advise for strategy where appropriate.

Ad Ops

  • Liaise with Webmasters and ensure Pixels and tracking code are implemented on relevant sites.
  • Set conversions based on client’s business objectives & track ROI.
  • Become an expert in ad formats and benefits of each.


  • Innovative, creative and lateral thinker
  • Has a thorough understanding of a wide variety of social media, blogging communities, social bookmarking, commenting etc
  • Social Media enthusiast with a passion for all popular social networks – through design, functionality, users.
  • Excellent communication and literacy skills.
  • Very high attention to detail.

  • Comfortable with the responsibility of handling multiple budgets
  • Basic understanding of websites and how they are designed
