Young Lion Competition

2017 marked a historic year for the Irish Young Lions competition. For the first time in the festival’s 64-year history, IAPI brought 14 Young Lions to Cannes to represent Ireland on the global stage. Emma Wilson and Kyle Schouw, designers from RichardsDee were awarded a gold medal for Team Ireland in the Design category. It was the first time Ireland has ever taken home gold in the Young Lions Competition.

In 2018, we brought six teams. 12 of Ireland’s most creative young stars competing on an international stage in Cannes, against teams from all over the world in the Film, Print, PR, Digital, Media and Young Marketer categories. It was a once in a lifetime experience for them to represent their respective industries on an international stage. Read more about Team Ireland 2018 here.

If you want the chance to represent Ireland as a Young Lion next year, keep an eye on the IAPI website for further information about the 2019 competition. Teams will compete in the national heats in Ireland in February/March 2019. Dates to be confirmed.
